Initial situation

As part of a website relaunch, not only should the design be revised, but usability for guests should also be improved. The issuing of print vouchers was previously only possible in a complicated manner. This should change and relieve the burden on hotel and thermal spa staff. A key element was the seamless integration of several interfaces to existing systems, in particular the interaction with the reservation program (AIDA) and the cash register system (Companion), although the latter had to be completely reconnected.

 

 

 

Solution

The introduction of the voucher and gift card system automates many manual processes and enables online ticket bookings. A total of six interfaces ensure efficient data transfer and billing. As a special feature, vouchers can also be used to purchase tickets. In addition, existing vouchers were imported from the previous system and the voucher shop was implemented using iframe. Customers can now use Print@home vouchers for various situations. Tickets are available with/without sauna and as day or afternoon tickets. The “NOVA wellness package” can also be booked on a daily basis via the ticket shop, with everything that makes up the perfect wellness day.

 

Partners & interfaces

Thanks to the companion cash register validation interface and the interface to AIDA, vouchers, gift cards and tickets can be validated and checked directly in the PMS and ready for billing. In addition, the integration took place with the CRM system of the web hotels as well as the Wellcard POS API and with the Thermenland.

In summary, the introduction of vouchers, gift cards and ticket system fundamentally relieve operational processes and makes manual processes obsolete. The ease of use for both employees and customers are reflected in improved sales figures and proves that the introduction of the system not only facilitates internal processes, but also enriches the customer experience by reducing manual processes and online ticket bookings with a direct connection to critical validation and billing systems are possible.
